About Us 

​The League of Christian Youth (LCY) also known as "The Shinning Generation" is a non-denominational, independent, non- partisan and non-profit youth development organization working in Sierra Leone. Our identity, existence and purpose as an organization is found in Jesus Christ as revealed in the Scriptures (1Cor. 12:12-13). Therefore, our very existence is based on the following principles:

• Spirit led: Building a relationship with God and seeking His direction in everything.
• Discipleship: The Church family is helping youth grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and each other.
• Teaching Scripture: Communicating the Bible to young people and adults in a relevant way.
• Servant leadership: Attitude and willingness to show selfless love to others through acts of service.
• Ethnically and Socially diverse community: Family that consists of different races, cultures, and social classes yet united in the love of Jesus Christ.
• Evangelistic service to others: sharing the good news of Jesus Christ through words and actions.    

​Our purpose is to enrich the skills, prospects and spirit of young people and adults, in partnership with families and communities. Therefore, LCY is a sanctuary of strength, safety and beauty where every young person is looked out for, nurtured and challenged.
